A ton of rhyming left my head spinning and tongue all twisted. Neo sabbatum in rapt attention as I tried to prove some interesting heroes from times past.

Yous Read to Me, I'll Read to You: Very Curt Tall Tales to Read Together is a cracking book full of folklore poetry. Throughout this book you lot learn about different characters while enjoying partner reading. This form of partner reading allows the students to have fun with the text and really get into the role of their character they are reading about. My favorite story was the one about Johnny Appleseed. I would use this book in a 3rd or 4th grade classroom. I would apply this text when working on fl Yous Read to Me, I'll Read to Y'all: Very Short Tall Tales to Read Together is a dandy book total of folklore poetry. Throughout this book you lot learn nearly different characters while enjoying partner reading. This form of partner reading allows the students to take fun with the text and really go into the function of their character they are reading almost. My favorite story was the one virtually Johnny Appleseed. I would use this book in a 3rd or 4th grade classroom. I would employ this text when working on fluency. I would maybe have in ready up as a middle or a part of daily 5. At the cease of centers or daily five partners who fabricated it to that station would present their verse form to the grade. As we have learned a big part of fluency is just nearly how fast you can read but also how yous are presenting what you have read. When assessing their presentation skills I would be looking for their expression to see if they are fully comprehending the story. Another way I would use this book in my classroom is to encourage my students to be able to piece of work with everyone in a positive and uplifting way.

This book was a WOW book for me because it allows students to work together to achieve a mutual goal. My goal is for all of my students to be able to read fluently and work well with one another. This book encourages students to use their imagination then that they tin understand the character and read with expression. I would recommend this book for any classroom centre specially a classroom that has students who are struggling to work together.

This is a fun serial. They are poems for ii voices. In this edition, the readers are introduced to a variety of tall tale characters such equally Paul Bunyan, Pecos Bill and Emerge Ann Thunder Ann Whirlwind. In that location were even a few that I wasn't familiar with. My 9 yo daughter and I enjoyed reading these together.

I don't own this edition, but I own two others. My third graders enjoy reading them together every year.

This is a fun serial. They are poems for two voices. In this edition, the readers are introduced to a variety of alpine tale characters such as Paul Bunyan, Pecos Bill and Sally Ann Thunder Ann Whirlwind. There were even a few that I wasn't familiar with. My 9 yo daughter and I enjoyed reading these together.

I don't own this edition, simply I own 2 others. My 3rd graders savour reading them together every year.

Very Short Alpine Tales to Read Together is a fun, interactive book for students to read with other students. It is a unique class of American storytelling. Some of the characters are real, while others have been created. This folklore book allows students to work together to read the tall tales.

Very Brusk Tall Tales to Read Together would be a great book for students who need to do reading fluency. Students can pair upwardly in the classroom and do reading a alpine tale. Afterward students have fourth dimension to practise, they tin present their tall tale in front of the whole class. This practise helps students practice reading fluently.
Another concept students can practise is using prosody while reading. As I read through this book, I realized, if the students understand the tall tales, information technology is easier to put on an human activity and get the character. Teaching the students a tale, then following upwardly with a shared reading exercise tin teach students almost prosody. This would also be a fun and engaging learning feel to add to the classroom!

I considered Very Short Tall Tales to Read Together as a wow book considering tall tales are an essential part of American Literature. I call back learning virtually these tales when I was in elementary school. I experience that schools do non teach these fun folklore stories anymore. In that location are so many ways to implement this book into the classroom. Readers tin can be beginners and they can be advanced. I read this book with my half-dozen twelvemonth-erstwhile son. We really enjoyed these clever rhymes to both practise and advance his reading and simultaneously, learn some of the legendary American Tall Tales.

My viii year old nephew and I read this together. The reading and rhyming did not agree his attention as well as I thought. Even with singing some of the tales he didn't similar them at all. However, the illustrations, to me, was like the 1970's drawing versions of the "School Business firm Stone". The tales were interesting to read similar Johnny Appleseed, Paul Bunyan, Annie Oakley and Davy Crocket. I had heard of their names only not of their full stories. Some tongue twisters, just not much to miss. I would reco My eight yr old nephew and I read this together. The reading and rhyming did not concord his attention likewise as I thought. Even with singing some of the tales he didn't like them at all. However, the illustrations, to me, was like the 1970's cartoon versions of the "School House Rock". The tales were interesting to read similar Johnny Appleseed, Paul Bunyan, Annie Oakley and Davy Crocket. I had heard of their names just non of their full stories. This time the poems for ii voices focus on American folk heroes, including lesser known characters similar Febold Feboldson, Alfred Bulltop Stormalong, Mose the Firefighter, and the Keen Don Jose Dear-Mad Lopez. An enjoyable collection that would have been more useful with resource notes. Some other addition to Hoberman's You lot Read to Me, I'll Read to You lot serial. I actually enjoyed reading this book and will use this as a teacher for sure! I loved how entertaining information technology was just that information technology likewise gives a hazard for a instructor to assess reading fluency with students in a fun manner. This would have helped my love for theater grow as a child if I would take had something like this when I was young.

I like how there are many famous Alpine Tales in this collection. I think that information technology is a great volume for a instructor to employ when working i on with a student who is struggling with reading. Information technology is too, a good volume to recommend to parents and so, that they can work on reading skills at home with their children. I could fifty-fifty run into putting it in a reading center and 2 students partner up to read it together.

Not tales...I happen to not consider verse to be "stories". This is what this book was...a series of poems. The illustrations in this book were mediocre to me as well. There was goose egg to this book that stood out to me.

It was very skilful and bully drawings of the characters. I enjoyed that the author are telling stories with a reason and point as well. We can learn from these points.

I thought this volume was really nicely done. I liked how information technology told different stories inside it.

Work with her local Connecticut chapter of the Literacy Volunteers of America inspired her to create this series of books to encourage reading. She enjoys reading with her grandchildren.
